I called my Dr. to find out the results of my blood test two days ago and no one returned my call until today. The nurse that called stated that the hormone level was 36 (doesn't that sound low) and that the Dr. wanted to get more blood tests done. She asked me if I could go this evening and I said yes. So Jared and I ventured off to the hospital again (and paid $1.25 for |

| | groggy | ] | I am very tired. It was not a hard day at work, but I am feeling very drained. I had a long break today, from 10:55-12:15 however it didn't help. Arriving home from work, I hit the sack. I didn't get up until my mom called me to check and see if I would be comming over to take a look at x-mas decorations (she's moving and doesn't have room for all that has accumulated throughout the years).
I managed to drag my butt out of bed and warm Jared up some dinner (thank God Andre cooked before he went to work). We then headed over to mom's. Hopefully my energy level will rise--having mild lower abdominal pain also, which according to the doctor could just be my uterus stretching. The doctor stated that it would be more painful than on average due to surgery this past summer. |

| Baby Registry |

| | cheerful | ] | I received a phonecall from one of my best friends this afternoon. She called to tell me that she had started our baby registries at Target and Babies R Us. OH MY!!! I am so exhausted and she has all this energy--I can't keep up!
Today my mother and I took my son and my brother on a Fall Hayride at Richardson's Farm. There were quite a few kids there. It was a function that was sponsored by ASPIE (an Asperger's Support Program). We had a wonderful time. The boys climbed bails of hay in a huge barn (they went all the way to the top--Jared even touched the roof). The food was good, and we each got to pick our own pumpkin to take home. |

| Fall Fun |
[Oct. 18th, 2003|07:36 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | relaxed | ] | I went to the grocery store this morning and wore myself out completely. I had to come home and take a nap! My best friend called and asked if my son and I would like to go on a hayride down near 303. Of course I had to drag out of bed, but we had a great time. My girlfriend's son (almost a year) played in the leaves, although there were some very loud kids also playing which scared him. The hayride was scary, no monster's of course, we just tried to keep our butts on the bails of hay. There were no sidesto hold onto. I am so surprised my girlfriend could hold her baby and keep herself on. Jared, my son, ventured into the cornstalk maze. He eventually got himself lost and so I went in after him. Only to get myself lost of course. After about 15 minutes of being yelled at by my child (go to the left, no to the right, why did you turn that way, mom what is wrong with you), I eventually freed myself. We took lots of pictures and drank apple cider by the fireplace. My girlfriend even got a spider painted on her son's face. |

| Surprise Daddy! |

| | nervous | ] | While only three people actually know about the positive pregnancy tests, I am continually asked "when will you tell Andre, what did he say, how did he react". So in order to answer everyones' questions Jared and I decided what to do.
Since Andre works hours that don't allow us to actually see each other or spend time together during the week, we thought it would be best to leave him a card. So that is what we did! We ventured off at 7:00am to Walgreens and bought the most adorable card and three red roses. The front of the card had two dalmations, a big one and a little one. The card said something about being a new dad--we'll see if he can figure it out! |

| Doctor Visit |
[Oct. 16th, 2003|06:00 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | anxious | ] | I had a doctor appointment today. Originally it was in order for the Doctor to re-check my cervix (so many problems). However we never got a chance to get that far because I informed the doctor that I was suffering from nausea, dizziness, excessive exhaustion, and abdominal pain. I also told the doctor that I had taken four pregnancy tests, three of which were positive and one negative.
The doctor looked so surprised and I could tell she did not know what to say. Could that be because after the surgery the chances of pregnancy were very slim? Who knows! Anyway she did a pelvic exam and said that my uterus had already begun to expand, however due to my irregular menstrual cycle she was not sure conception had actually occurred within this months cycle or not (although I would say that it had).
The doctor ordered a blood test, in order to get the level of pregnancy hormone in my blood. So Jared and I went on our way to the hospital (because blood can no longer be drawn in this practice's office). The doctor said that she would give me a call when the results were in and depending on the level of hormone an ultrasound would be scheduled.
Know from what I have read, the first ultrasounds are usually around the eighth week, therefore I am assuming that it will be at least three weeks before this appointment. We will see! |
